Terms and Conditions

1. Who we are

The League (jointheleague.uk) is an invitation-only dining society operating in the United Kingdom. References to "we," "us," or "our" mean The League. References to "you" mean the person buying a ticket, applying for membership, or otherwise using this website.

2. Tickets and payment

Tickets for League dinners are sold through Stripe. Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include applicable taxes. A ticket is confirmed once payment has cleared and you have received a confirmation email.

Each seat is non-transferable without our prior written consent. If you cannot attend, please contact us so we can offer your seat to someone on the waiting list.

3. Refunds and cancellations

You may request a full refund up to seven (7) days before the dinner. Within seven days of the event we are typically unable to refund because the venue, catering, and speaker arrangements are already committed. Where exceptional circumstances apply, please write to us and we will look at your case in good faith.

If we cancel a dinner for any reason, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your seat to a future event.

4. Eligibility and conduct

Attendance at The League is at our discretion. We reserve the right to decline a booking or revoke a ticket where we believe the prospective attendee would not contribute positively to the table. Disrespectful conduct, harassment, or aggressive behaviour at a dinner will result in a request to leave and a permanent withdrawal of future attendance, without refund.

5. Photography and content

Photography and short video may be captured at dinners for editorial and marketing use. If you would prefer not to appear in any photography, please let us know on arrival and we will respect that.

6. Liability

We take reasonable care in selecting venues and partners. We are not liable for personal items left at venues, dietary outcomes outside our reasonable control, or matters arising from third-party transport. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under English law.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your ticket is the version published on the date you purchased it. Material changes will be announced on this page.
